Day 22: Put me in, coach

Today is Day 22 of #mybuffetyear.  We have had various coaches through childhood, but have you had a coach in your adult life?  It may be foreign to some people, but a coach can help you with your blindspots, and new perspectives, hold you accountable, and call you on your bullshit.  Today I became part of a new mastermind with my new coach Matthew Allyn.

Bree first became aware of Matthew from Jess Burgio’s podcast which is called Unscripted.  It was an incredible episode and Bree planted a couple of seeds to reach out to Matthew.  One day she decided to book a call for Matthew and I to connect and I’m very glad she did.  I love Matthew’s energy and the value he provided on the discovery call.  So I took decisive action and told him I was in on the call.  We are going to create something epic together.

Matthew Allyn was a civil engineer who lived in New York before he rode his bike across the United States.  He now resides in Denver where he is living the dream.  He is an avid trail runner and outdoor enthusiast.  He works with top-notch entrepreneurs and coaches.  He has a program called Powerful Leader Mastery and I’m excited to work with him over the next 4 months.  He also has an awesome podcast called Powerful Online Leadership which you might want to check out.

The first Mastermind call was great.  It was awesome connecting and learning from other entrepreneurs.  I took away some valuable lessons and it also gave me the opportunity to flex my speaking skills on Zoom.  I’m very excited for future mastermind calls and for my one on one with Matthew today.  If you aren’t satisfied with the results you are getting in life I would highly encourage you to invest in yourself and find a mastermind or a coach.  We all have a lot of potential that is bottled up and we need to get it out and share it with the rest of the world.
