Day 11: Wax on, Wax off

Today was Day 11 of #mybuffetyear.  Did you play Pretty Pretty Princess as a kid?  I did not.  I don’t know how I even know what that it is, but a quick Google search tells me there is a board game.  I probably should have played Pretty Pretty Princess or played with more Barbies, maybe then I would take better care of my eyebrows, and skin, and whiten my teeth.

Today I was working from Edge Bar & Boutique in Elk River.  I love their sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich and The Elk Pride coffee drink.  I held off on the whipped cream today to save a few calories, but maybe treat yourself on your first visit.  I hope you love the smoky sea salt as much as I do.  It is such a lovely to spot to enjoy great coffee shop vibes and get some work done.  Since I was right on Main Street I decided to make an appointment with The Wax Therapist to get my eyebrows waxed.  Usually, I will just use Nad’s Facial Wax Strips from Target.

I made a 12:15 pm appointment with The Wax Therapist.  It was a block away and on the same side of the street.  The Esthetician was super friendly.  She grew up in Big Lake and it was cool to hear the origin story of how The Wax Therapist came to be.  She said she was going to school for psychology but she always had a passion for beauty.  I’ve always enjoyed psychology and love a good origin story.  Anyways, the appointment was quick.  I took a video of the experience so I can tell you it was 6 minutes in total.  It was quick, easy and I was on my way.  It stung a little bit on the underside but really it wasn’t too bad.

All and all the brows look pretty good.
